Research Goals

The focus of the research project is the definition of system boundaries to be able to manage business-driven IT on the long run and, if necessary, integrate it into existing enterprise systems. This integration can only be successful, if boundaries of current systems are clearly defined and the effects of such an integration are analysed in detail. Only if this is the case, a good decision about integration can be made. Opportunities and threats, as well as additional influencing factors, have to be considered and logically combined.
